Changes to UK visa application procedure in Afghanistan
Afghan national intending to travel to the UK who are in receipt of sponsorship from the British government can now remain in Kabul while their visa applications are processed in New Delhi. The British Council in Kabul will submit all necessary supporting documents to the British Embassy, Kabul who will facilitate the process

Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada announce Conference
The 2012 AUCC-IDRC Leaders’ Symposium: New models of North-South partnerships, is a national event bringing together senior Canadian university administrators, experts from the university community as well as other sectors working in international partnering activities. The event will allow participants to explore the issues, challenges and good practices related to how new models of North-South partnerships can support universities’ internationalization efforts and contribute to global engagement. There will be guest speakers including representatives from the higher education, government and non-governmental community and southern partners.
The conference is taking place in Ottawa on 11-13 June 2012. Past and current DelPHE projects who partnered with a Canadian university are invited to submit expressions of interest to Ms Kethline Garoute (KGaroute@aucc.ca)
