COURSE 1: Successful CLIL Teaching A competence building programme 6-7 March 2007, 19-20 March 2007 and 2-3 May 2007 in Berne
This exciting 3-module workshop on CLIL - Content and Language Integrated Learning - is offered in collaboration with WBZ. It is addressed to teachers who teach or wish to teach subjects through the medium of English as a second language.
We are very pleased that Do Coyle and David Marsh, two of the leading European experts on CLIL and bilingual education, will be running this workshop.
Do and David will illustrate the key theoretical issues in the CLIL approach, provide helpful and inspiring inputs on assessing, monitoring and improving teacher and student competence in the CLIL classroom and introduce European and international support resources. Throughout the course, participants will design and review their own testing experiment.

COURSE 2: Teaching English Creatively A workshop for English teachers at grades 2-7 16 - 20 July 2007 This course is part of "SWCH Weiterbildungswoche in Aarau"
This hands-on workshop focuses on playful approaches to teaching English. Swiss EFL expert, musician, writer and creative writing tutor Franz Andres Morrissey and London-based writer, poet and drama teacher Cheryl Moskowitz will introduce the participants to a variety of fun and inspiring ways of using spoken word, song, rhyme, poetry and theatre to enhance intuitive language learning in the primary school classroom.
