SELECTOR started in Britain in 2001 out of the initiative of British Council, which is now introducing it into Czech radios. It is broadcast in 33 countries worldwide and listened to by 40 million people. In 2005 it was awarded the prestigious SONY Radio Academy AWARD as the best music weekly. SELECTOR is prepared by British Council in co-operation with the British production company Somethin´ Else. It is intended for music stations in the whole world. In the Czech Republic, the SELECTOR is a part of British Council’s programme UrbanCulture.
