MICHAL BABIC AWARDED THE AUDIENCE PRIZE AT THE INTERNATIONAL FINAL!

We are happy to announce that Michal Babic was awarded the audience prize at the FameLab international final in Cheltenham on 11 June. The competition was though -  14 countries were represented.
Our thanks go to Michael for the way he represented his Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences and also his sponsors in FameLab competition: the British Council and Nadacni Fond Karla Janecka.
The Board of Judges Prize went to Cyprus – to the excellent biologist Ms. Myrtani Pieri.
Michal was accompanied by HERA Film Crew – the documentary about the Cheltenham Festival and Michal’s success there will be broadcasted soon on CT2 in PORT programme. Watch this space.

MICHAL BABIČ IS THE FAMELAB WINNER!

Dejvické Theatre in Prague hosted scientists on Sunday 8 May. Ten finalists selected in two regional heats HAD each their ‘one-man show’ in the FameLab competition. The finalists representED research institutes of the Academy of Sciences and Technical Universities. In their three-minute performances they gave the audience an entertaining insight into their field. The winner will represent the Czech Republic in the finals in England on 11 June 2011.
