Dear Student

Welcome to your British Council English course. I hope that you enjoy studying here at the British Council and that you achieve everything you want and expect during your time with us. All our classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and there is internet access in the classrooms.

To help you get the most of your course, please read the information below, and use the links to find out about the full range of our services.

Homework

To help you improve your English both in and outside class, your teacher will set you homework regularly and this will be checked.  

Assessment and Progression

Your progress will be measured by continuous assessment. We advise you to attend all the classes – you will need to attend 65% of the course and show satisfactory progress in order to continue to the next level.

Counselling

Students are encouraged to discuss any issues they as well as answer any questions you may have on the course directly with their teacher or via email. Your teacher is keen that you progress and get the maximum of the course and future studies.

Feedback

We welcome any feedback which will help us to improve our services to you.  You can speak to your teacher or our Customer Service staff, fill in a ‘What’s Up?’ card and put it in the box in Reception, or write to me directly at steve.oxley@britishcouncil.cz

Certificates

You will receive a certificate at the end of each complete level (for example Pre-Intermediate or Advanced).
