HOW TO REGISTER ONLINE?

For Prague, Usti nad Labem, Liberec, Podebrady and Brno you can now register online. Do not forget your registration is only valid upon payment of the full fee (in cash, by credit cards, bank transfer or by postal order) by the last day of the respective registration period.

The proof of payment needs to be sent immediately to the British Council Prague office (in case of registration for Prague, Ústí, Liberec and Poděbrady) or to the British Council Brno office (in case of registration for Brno). You can send the proof of payment by post or e-mail: ies.payments@britishcouncil.cz).

The variable symbol is: 44 + digits from the Customer Reference Number generated from the on-line registration system (e.g. 44845 if the Cust. Ref. No is C845K)

Please do not use any diacritics. The registration periods, fees and refund policy remain the same as for the paper based application forms.

WINTER EXAMS SESSION (November/December 2008)

15 September–3 October 2008
Late registration: 4 October–31 October 2008
Late late registration: 1 November–12 November 2008

SPRING EXAMS SESSION (March 2009)

5 January–16 January 2009
Late registration: 17 January–13 February 2009
Late late registration: 14 February–28 February 2009

We can only accept limited numbers of applications during the late and very late registration due to restricted capacity.
If you are going for late or very late entry, please check first with your registration point whether there still are free places. We are able to settle very late registrations individually.

How to register via block entry – information for schools and registering institutions

In case you are interested in block registrations, please contact the particular registration point. You will be provided with detailed information.

CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

1. In order to be registered for an examination, it is necessary to submit a completed and signed Entry Form together with a Proof of Payment - within the registration period (25 February – 14 March 2008) - in person, or by post.
2. The candidate shall receive a statement of registration by 18 April 2008. The candidate registered online shall receive an automated statement of registration immediately.
3. The dates for the written parts of the examinations are determined by the University of Cambridge and cannot be changed. Speaking and listening dates are chosen locally and will be communicated to the candidate in due time. The candidate shall receive a full examination Timetable for KET and PET exams by 1 May 2008, for FCE, CAE and CPE exams by 9 May 2008. The candidate shall receive a full examination Timetable for BEC exams by 1 May 2008. It is your responsibility to contact us if you do not receive your examination Timetable by the date mentioned above.
4. The Entry Form is a legally binding document; the candidate cannot cancel examination, change examination levels or dates once he/she registers.
5. The fee will not be refunded in case of failure or withdrawal from the exam. If the candidate is unable to sit the written part of the examination because of illness and submits a medical statement, he/she may ask for a 50% refund of the examination fee. The medical statement must be presented no later than seven days after the date of the examination. Examination fee is 100% refundable before the end of the regular registration period (14 March 2008).
6. In case of any special arrangements contact your registration centre in advance. All applications must be supported by a specialist’s medical certificate.
7. British Council will aim to organize an examination in a given town if there are a sufficient number of registered candidates.
8. All question papers are sent to Cambridge ESOL in the UK after the exam session. All parts of the exam remain the property of Cambridge ESOL and will not be released to candidates.
