New this year – Summer courses for teenagers

This summer we would like to offer you the possibility of intensive summer classes for your children between Monday 7 and Friday 25 of July. These classes will be arranged if we have enough expressions of interest and they will happen between 1330 and 1530 every week day although we must stress that we will need to have at least 5 or 6 children at one level in order to open a class. If you are interested, please phone our Customer Services Staff on 221 991 160 and let us know which class your child is currently attending together with his/her name. If courses happen, we will use different class materials from those used during the term and it will not be necessary for you to buy extra books.

Take Starters, Movers and Flyers exams at the British Council

Cambridge Young Learner English Tests are aimed at children between the ages of 7 and 12 and are at three levels of assessment – Starters, Movers and Flyers – which correspond to the levels of our classes at the British Council. They are designed to present a positive first impression of language tests as well as to encourage future learning and they can be a very effective way of building children’s confidence. As such, they provide an appropriate first step towards the UCLES main suite of exams (e.g. KET and PET) which are designed for young people and adults.
If you are interested in your child doing one of these tests at the British Council in the future, please phone our Customer Services Staff on 221 991 160 and let us know, giving the name of your child and which level of exam relates to their class. If we have enough interest, we will try to arrange these exams at a time and a date which is convenient for you. Unlike other Cambridge exams, these tests can be arranged during any month of the year and on any day of the week.
