The Brno Examinations Services office offers English language examinations (IELTS and Cambridge English).

In our office you can get any information about the available exams as well as register for the exams and pay the registration fee (in cash or by credit card). We are also happy to answer any queries regarding British Council activities in the Czech Republic.

English for Elementary and High Schools

Young Learners English Tests (YLE) – these exams are designed for children aged from 7 to 12 years old. They are available at three levels and are organised mainly on a school´s request. In case of individual registration please contact us.

KET/PET for Schools are designed for pupils aged 11 to 14. FCE for Schools are suitable for age between 12 – 16.  

The content and treatment of topics of these exams have been particularly targeted at the interests and experience of pupils and students of Elementary and High Schools.

Available terms

KET/PET – March and June.

FCE for Schools – March, June and December.

Preparation materials

For our registered candidates there are various preparation materials available to borrow in our office.

The preparation materials include Past papers, Trainers and Top Tips!

Past papers are available free of charge, for other books an advanced payment 100,-/200,- CZK is required. The loan period is one or two weeks depending on the chosen publication.


Seminars for teachers

We organise seminars on various topics, however if you cannot find one you are interested in, please let us know and we will try to organise it.

Special arrangements

We provide a Special Arrangements service for our candidates with hearing, visual or learning difficulties (including modified materials). There is no extra charge for the Special Arrangements service. More information available
