We work to inform parliamentarians of the work and interests of the British Council, and act as a forum for the exchange of views in the field of public diplomacy and the promotion of the UK. Find out more

This exchange programme enables women MPs from East and Central Africa to visit the UK and spend time shadowing UK women MPs in Parliament and their constituencies. Find out more about this project.

Reporting the election 2005
Prominent young journalists from all over the world travelled to the UK to report on the 2005 British General Election in May. They shadowed parliamentary candidates and reported on their experiences in the media in their home country.

We are working to establish a group of MPs and Peers who are recognised as British Council champions and advocates for the UK and the work of the British Council in promoting the UK, in Parliament and abroad.
