Creative Industries is a relatively new concept which covers such diverse areas like design, painting/visual arts, web and new media, advertising, theatre, film, music, radio/tv, architecture/urban regeneration.
The Conference of “Creative Industries” in Tirana, Albania, 6th March 2006, aims to increase awareness to high level policy makers and important stakeholders of the importance of the Creative Industries. Its aim will be to convince decision makers to take practical steps to support these industries towards economic growth.
The event consists of a symposium of speeches and presentations as well as video showcase of creative businesses (in the country and in the UK) to high level policy makers and other important stakeholders. We will introduce concept of Creative Industry and its positive impact on the local economy, society, urban development and its practice (UK is a very good example).

Creative Industries is an important project of the three strands of the UK-SouthEast Europe Forum.
