Although the British Council is accommodated within the British Embassy, the British Council is independent of the Embassy and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. The British Council is a non-governmental and non-political organisation, and is the United Kingdom's international organisation for educational and cultural relations. There is also no formal relationship with the International School of Havana. |
