The British Embassy in Havana with the support of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the United Kingdom offers scholarships in the Chevening Scheme. The British Council has a global contract to help promote and organise arrangements for the Chevening Scheme. All professionals and academics who meet the requirements for applying can do so. But a letter of your current employer agreeing you can participate in the programme is required. You need to have an institution to come back to and apply the benefits from the study or training in the UK . www.chevening.com |

Where can I find information about the UK's education system? |
The education system in the UK is one of the oldest established in the world but it continues to adapt to the needs and ambitions of future generations. It also provides models for the systems in many other countries. Education is designed to realise young people’s potential and self-confidence, to help them enjoy and contribute to their communities, and to prepare them for further and higher education and the world of work. It is also designed to improve the quality of life and the range of skills of adults. More information on www.educationuk.org. |
