CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS

The Chevening Scholarship Programme is a prestigious awards scheme that funds international postgraduate students who want to study in the UK. Funded by the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and administered by the British Council, the scheme operates in over 150 countries and annually provides funding for over 2,300 students.

In academic year 2010-11, we are offering post-graduate scholarships from three months to one year in the following subjects: Politics, International Relations and EU studies; Journalism; Law; Economics; Human Rights; Environment; Business; Public Administration and Management.

Candidate profile:

Candidates are expected to be graduates and professionals who would return to Croatia to become leaders in their fields. We encourage applications from candidates who already have some work experience and who can demonstrate leadership potential. The scholarships are for Croatian citizens.  British – Croatian dual nationals will be considered on a case by case basis.

About the courses:

This scheme gives the widest degree of flexibility. Candidates choose the courses they would like to study within the areas specified above. Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for a place on their preferred course(s) as soon as possible and not wait for the outcome of their scholarship application. To find out about possible courses visit www.educationuk.org .

What is covered by the scholarship:

The scholarships cover all university and college fees, travel to and from the UK, basic living expenses for a single person, and a student visa.
