IMPORTANT
The dates for Reading, Writing and Use of English for FCE, CAE and CPE, and for Reading, Writing and Listening for KET, PET, BEC and ILEC are set at least 1 year in advance by the University of Cambridge and cannot be changed. The dates for Listening and Speaking for FCE, CAE, CPE and for Speaking for KET, PET, BEC and ILEC are set by the British Council, within the window period set by the University of Cambridge. The Listening test for FCE, CAE and CPE can sometimes take place on the same date as the written part of the test. We can accept timely requests for change only for serious and justified reasons provided we have free time slots on other Speaking or Listening test dates. Non-Zagreb candidates must pay special attention to this as in towns other than Zagreb there are fewer test dates. If a candidate has problems with the Speaking/Listening dates, he/she must notify the British Council immediately.
- Listening and Speaking tests could take place on different dates from the written papers.
- Two weeks before the first examination date, the candidates will receive their Statement of Entry and Notice to Candidates with all the details about the time and venue of the examination. If the candidate does not receive the Statement of Entry by that time or the Statement is blank, he/she must contact us immediately.
- The exam fee will not be refunded in case of failing or withdrawal from the exam. It is possible to request a refund ONLY in cases of illness or death (either of the candidate or someone in his closest family). Applications for the refund must be accompanied by a medical certificate (POVIJEST BOLESTI) in Latin or English and must be submitted to the British Council within a week of the first day of the examination.
- Bring your ID card or passport and the Statement of Entry to be checked by the invigilator before you enter the examination room.
- Familiarise yourself with your candidate number. Your seat in the examination room will be marked with this number.
- Check your name printed on the Statement of Entry. If it is incorrect, you will be able to correct it on the day of the written part of your exam.
- All cases of irregular conduct during examinations detected by invigilators or supervisors will be reported to Cambridge and may lead to disqualification of candidates and the withholding of their results. The Local Secretary has the authority to expel from the examination room any candidate detected engaging in irregular conduct.
- All mobile phones and personal pagers must be switched off and placed in the area advised by the invigilator before the start of all papers. Candidates who do not switch them off may be disqualified from the examination.
- If you have special needs because of difficulties such as visual, speaking, hearing, learning, permanent writing or other disabilities, we can provide modified materials/ extra time. Please please notify the Examinations Unit prior registration so that we can check the availabilty of the materials. Your request must be supported by original medical evidence not older than 2 years and needs to have a diagnosis written in English or Latin. For more information check www.CambridgeESOL.org/specialarrangements and contact us!.
