Project Description:
Balkanbeat is an ambitious cross-border networking and training event for the music sector in South East Europe, the first of its kind in the region. By bringing in a range of expert speakers focusing on the UK, over 2 ½ days we will examine key issues facing the music sector in the region through workshops, panel sessions and training, examining best practise and new techniques in a time of critical global changes in this part of the creative economy. Just as importantly, with a projected attendance of up to 100 this event will bring together practitioners from across at least four countries in a range of fields and will allow networks to form in what is still a poorly connected region in terms of the professional music sector.
