What is Connect Youth?
Giving young people an international experience

British Council Connect Youth promotes international experiences for young people in the United Kingdom

We run programmes that give young people an opportunity to experience other cultures and countries. These programmes range from group exchanges and youth initiatives to individual voluntary service. We also provide funding to help people working in the youth sector develop skills and establish contacts necessary to enhance their work. Activities are supported by funds from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department for Education and Skills, and the European Commission (Education and Culture).

These pages give you an easy guide to what we offer to young people and those working in the youth sector as well as the support and advice available from us.

For a general overview of all the activities we promote within the new Youth in Action Programme and the kind of projects we fund, briefly explained Action by Action, have a look at our General Information Booklet (PDF document, 1MB)
