TRAINING & SUPPORT FOR EVS ORGANISATIONS
Training courses are run for organisations involved with EVS to improve their project activities and to make contact with other organisations involved with the programme in Europe. Please remember to check the news section periodically for up to date information on EVS.
•SOHO (Sending/Hosting): Learn more about European Voluntary Service and how you can improve the quality of your project.
•CMS (Contact Making Seminar): This is a networking event with the aim of establishing new partnerships to aid future EVS projects.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
People who work for a host or sending organisations directly involved with the implementation of the project or the support of EVS volunteers. EVS training events are for those who are new to working with EVS or those working in established projects who would like to learn more.
HOW IS IT FINANCED?
The UK National Agency will pay for your transport from the UK to the country where the training is taking place. The host National Agency will pay for accommodation, meals and any local transport.

•YouthNetworks: YouthNetworks is a website that allows EVS host organisations to advertise current vacancies to potential volunteers. It also provides a forum for EVS organisations to build partnerships. You can register free at: www.youthnetworks.eu/
NON-EU EVS VOLUNTEERS COMING TO THE UK - INFORMATION FOR ORGANISATIONS
ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR ORGANISATIONS WORKING WITH VOLUNTEERS WITH FEWER OPPORTUNITIES
In order to support the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities there are additional funds available that you can apply for.
•APV (Advanced Planning Visit): A visit by the volunteer, accompanied by the project worker, for a maximum of two nights to the host project before the start of the EVS placement. Only available for placements between 2 weeks and 2 months.
•Exceptional Costs: Funding for items needed for any volunteer with fewer opportunities to undertake an EVS placement.
•Reinforced Mentorship: Funding for extra personal support for the volunteer prior, during and after their EVS placement. Only available for placements between 2 weeks and 2 months.
