These workshops are aimed at all 2009 Comenius School Partnership grant-holders. The workshops start at 10.15 am and will finish at 3.30pm. Travel to and from the workshop can be supported by your Comenius grant.

By the end of the workshop participants will:
- understand their contractual obligations
- have shared ideas with other coordinators on how to integrate their partnership work within the curriculum and the wider school
- be aware of other Comenius opportunities, and other British Council schools programmes, that can enhance their partnership
- have shared practical experience with other coordinators about how to manage their partnership
- be aware of practical ways to disseminate and exploit the results of their partnership

These events have a novel format. The morning (10 am to 1.30 pm) is for 2009 grant-holders. and the afternoon (1 to 3.30 pm) is for local authority representatives not currently participating in Regio who would like to learn more. The sessions overlap at lunch, so both groups will be able to share perspectives.
By the end of the morning grant-holders will:
- understand their contractual obligations
- get to grips with the financial aspects of project management
- learn about other Comenius opportunities, and British Council schools programmes, that can enhance their partnership
- have shared practical experience with other coordinators about how to manage their partnership
- be aware of practical ways to disseminate and exploit the results
The afternoon allows participants to:
- network with local authority representatives already coordinating Regio Partnerships
- hear case study presentations from existing projects
- receive a detailed briefing on Comenius Regio
- participate in a question and answer session

These events are not Start-Up Workshops for 2009 grant-holders. They are information days arranged by Chris Williams, an experienced Comenius practitioner based in Lincoln, and are suitable for Comenius participants and newcomers alike.
