Students participating in Comenius gain the soft skills that employers are looking for. By collaborating with students in their own college and with those in other countries on partnership projects, they build their communication, decision making and problem solving skills. At the end of a project, more than 70 percent of students have improved their social skills and ability to work in teams.
Partner visits reinforce Comenius project work. They can also be life changing, especially for students who haven't travelled before. Because visits can be for short periods of time, neither coursework, nor student's jobs are disrupted.
Going to another country builds better relationships between students and staff, and between staff members. You also develop stronger links with your partner institutions, which can lay the foundation for ongoing exchanges or more ambitious international work, such as joint course development.
