Comenius School Partnerships

Comenius In-Service Training

The final In-Service Training deadline for 2009 is now closed. If you have submitted an application form for this deadline, you should have received an email acknowledgment. If you have not received an email acknowledgement, you may wish to contact comenius@britishcouncil.org to check that your application has been received safely.

Your application will now be assessed in accordance with the published eligibility and quality criteria. You will be informed of the results of this assessment by the 15 November 2009. We will not be able to give you an update on your application's progress before this date. If this timetable changes, we will publish the change on the results page of our website.

Application deadlines for 2010 are:

• 15 January for activities starting on or after 1 May 2010.
• 30 April for activities starting on or after 1 September 2010.
• 15 September for activities starting on or after 1 January 2011.
• All training activities must start by 30 April 2011 at the latest.
• Application Form (will be available end of November/early December)

Comenius Assistants

• Deadline: 29 January 2010
• Application Form Assistants (not yet available)
• Application Form Hosting Schools (not yet available)

Comenius Regio Partnerships

• Deadline: 19 February 2010
• Application Form (not yet available)

Comenius Preparatory Visits and Seminars

Preparatory Visit funding in 2009 is limited, and will only be available to organisations that have not received a preparatory visit grant in the last two years. Only one person will be funded per organisation in relation to each proposed partnership. Organisations can, however, apply for Preparatory Visit funding in relation to more than one proposed partnership. The deadline for preparatory visit applications for new School Partnerships and Regio Partnerships is December 11.

• Grant applications for a preparatory visit should be submitted at least 6 weeks before the proposed activity. No applications will be accepted after 11 December 2009.
