Our Learning Centre can help you to improve your English language skills through a range of printed, interactive and multimedia resources.

It is a great opportunity to consolidate the work you do in class, using a wide range of books, graded readers, audio and video cassettes, covering all levels from beginners to advanced.

In order to get the most out of the Learning Centre you can use any of modern computers with Internet access, DVD players and Real Audio.

You can:

			access the Internet with Student Links to help you practise English
			access our LearnEnglish website
			use language practice computer programmes
			improve your chances for PET, KET, FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS exams with preparation materials
			improve your grammar using practice books
			expand your vocabulary using practice books
			practise the four skills - reading, writing, listening, speaking
			borrow from a range of books (adapted for learners)
			borrow from a range of books for young learners
			borrow from a range of English literature
			enjoy a feature film in English (in DVD format)
			read English newspapers and magazines

Most of our DVDs are codified in the British PAL system, which is not compatible with the American NTSC system, and are Region 2. However, you can watch them in the Learning Centre.

If you are not studying with us, you can still join it by paying a membership fee according to the categories below.

To join the Learning Centre you have to:

			bring a valid ID that confirms that you are a student or a teacher in order to get the respective membership rate
			pay by cheque, VISA or Master Card credit card, or Red Multicolor in our office (For reasons of security we can not accept cash)
			deposit the fee in our bank account if you are outside Bogotá. Please contact our Customer Service team for further details.

You can have books and tapes up to one month and DVDs up to eight days.

You can borrow up to three materials, but no more than one DVD at a time.

The date on which you must return the materials can’t be extended. You have to return the books, and wait at least one day to borrow them again.

You an reserve any material that is lent to another customer. Once the customer returns it, the Customer Service team will inform you by e-mail that the material is available and will keep it for you for three business days. If you do not pick up the material by that time, the reservation will be cancelled and the material will be placed on the shelves.

You will have to pay a fine of $500 per day per material borrowed. The fine for DVDs is $5,000 per day.
You will not be able to borrow materials until the fine is paid.

You must buy the materials in a British bookstore or publishing house.
When borrowing materials, you must verify they are complete and in good state.

You must inform the Learning Centre as soon as possible in order to block your account temporarily and must pay $10,000 to get a new membership card.
