China’s future judges experience the English judicial system

In July 2002, we held a law summer school with the People’s University providing 40 promising law students with an insight into English Courts.

Two British Barristers lead the one-week course and presented the adversarial trial tactics of common law. The course provided China’s future judges and lawyers with an opportunity to prepare in light of China’s current transition from inquisitorial trials to adversarial trials.
