Joint Projects between the UK and China

Joint Projects between scientific research groups in the UK and China began in 1984 with agreements signed between the Royal Society and two partner organisations in China. Joint Projects are intended to fund travel and subsistence requirements for a British scientific research group to collaborate with a Chinese scientific research group over a maximum period of three years. These funds cover the UK research group participants’ international airfares to China and the Chinese research group participants’ subsistence in the UK, up to a maximum of £6,000 per year.
