To promote new and existing collaborations between research groups in the UK or Republic of Ireland and groups in other countries. This scheme aims to encourage cooperating laboratories to pool resources by establishing closer links between workers engaged in related fields of research. It is principally intended for collaborations between two countries and not for a consortium of researchers.
