UK-China Sports Engineering Workshop

“The First Ever International Sports Engineering Seminar in Beijing!”

In partnership with CISS, our Sports and Science Team in Beijing organised a series of highly successful activities under the theme of sports science from 21-24 November 2006. We invited 4 high profile UK speakers to deliver the events. More than 200 students, 80 public audiences and 50 professionals from all over China attend the following events and the feedback from them is very positive.

  • Lecture on Sports Science at Beijing Sports University, the inspirational lectures attracted more than 200 students who had delightful communications with all UK speakers.
  • Café Scientifique:Olympic Legacy, the Role of Science, Technology and Engineering in Sport. The charm of sport attracted more than 80 participants with different background who had an enjoyable experience on the spot.
  • UK-China Sports Engineering Workshop. The professional who attended the 2-day workshop found it a very important and valuable opportunity to have in-depth communication with their UK counterpart in the field of sports engineering, and they all expressed their strong wish of establishing concrete links with the UK in this area.
