Secondary school exams

We run secondary school examinations on behalf of a number of UK examination boards (includes Edexcel and CIE).

  • GCE Advanced Levels
  • GCE Ordinary Levels
  • IGCSE

Introduction
GCE O Levels are established qualifications that keep pace with educational developments and trends, offered to secondary and pre-university students. They are recognized throughout the world, by academic institutes and employers, as a mark of quality and evidence of real ability.

GCE A Level is the world's most popular international examination for 16–18 year olds. As one of the most recognized qualifications around the world, it is accepted as proof of academic ability for entry to universities worldwide.

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is the world's most popular international qualification for 14–16 year olds. It develops successful students, giving them excellent preparation for their next steps in education, including progression to A and AS Level study, and equips them with skills for immediate employment. IGCSE is recognized by universities and employers worldwide.

British Council China is registered as Examination Service Centre with two global recognized examboard Edexcel and CIE who offer GCE & IGCSE exams.
