In May 2004 the Institute of Logistics and Transport (ILT) officially became 'The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK ‘ (CILT (UK)). The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) International is a worldwide network helping to connect CILT (UK) with worldwide expertise.

CILT (UK) is continually working to develop a range of training courses which are offered both in the UK and internationally.

Development in China

CCTA Logistics Training Center, led by China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA), is an organization dedicated to the training, education and professional certification of personnel in the industry of logistics and transport. CCTA Logistics Training Center is the exclusive center in China for the delivery of CILT qualifications, the execution of examinations, quality control and localization of CILT standards.

CILT Qualifications Available in China

In China, the CILT Certificate is awarded by CILT at four established levels of competency.  

Level 1 - Certificate of Foundation in Logistics
Level 2 - Certificate for Supervisory Manager in Logistics
Level 3 - Diploma for Operation Manager in Logistics
Level 4 - Diploma for Strategic Manager in Logistics

All certificates are awarded based on the relevant competency level of logistics managers at various stages in their professional development, with the focus on professional knowledge and work experience.
