The Institute of Financial Services (ifs) is the official brand of The Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB), a registered charity and one of the leading bodies for the provision of both education and life-long career support services to the financial services industry, and formal financial education to the public at large.

In China, we at the British Council organise the Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) certification on behalf of ifs.

CDCS Qualification

CDCS is the professional certification that will enable documentary credit practitioners to demonstrate specialist knowledge and application of the skills required for competent practice.  The CDCS program has been developed in consultation with industry experts to ensure that the certification reflects best practice.  It has been developed in partnership by the Institute of Financial Services (ifs) and the International Financial Services Association (IFSA).  It is endorsed by the International Chamber of Commerce.

The CDCS is the international standard for documentary credit specialists.
