The Association of Business Executives (ABE) is a market leader in the cost-effective provision of quality assured British management education leading to awards which are valued in their own right, but which are also recognised as an accepted route onto the later stages of a number of UK and overseas professional or university qualifications.
ABE is officially recognised as an Awarding Body. This recognition is granted by QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority), the UK government’s education regulator. In doing so, QCA accepts the quality of ABE’s processes, procedures, experience and expertise in delivering a high level of service. QCA constantly monitors the performance of Awarding Bodies to ensure they continually meet high standards of service and ABE is confident that the criteria as laid down by QCA will be met at all time.
The Business Administration programme provides a professional qualification that may be used to prepare directly for a career in business, or to gain advanced entry onto a range of professional qualifications and university degrees in the UK and other countries. The programme provides students with an appreciation of the theoretical issues currently involved in the study of business and a range of practical skills which will enhance their value to potential employers. Major themes running throughout the programme include Management, Finance and Accounting, Marketing and IT.
There is an increasing need for highly computer literate business professionals who can develop business applications using spreadsheets, databases etc. and can work confidently with their IT colleagues. Holders of both the Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business Information Systems will have had a firm grounding in the essential core IT and business skills and will be able to build bridges between technology and business practice.
The travel, tourism and hospitality industry is today the largest and most pervasive sector within the global economy. The need to provide quality services in a business-orientated manner requires management leadership in all the main functional business areas (finance, marketing, human resource management, and operations) as well as strategic leadership. ABE’s Travel, Tourism and Hospitality qualifications provide a pathway through which students can develop a combination of key business skills and industry knowledge in preparation for the varied and exciting careers which the industry offers.
The Practitioners Programme in Human Resource Management introduces students to the academic disciplines that underlie the effective management of the human resource and explores both the theory and practice of human resource management activities. Students who complete the programme will find their HRM skills and their own personal marketability within the organisation enhanced, as well as their preparedness for further courses of study. This is a combined programme, consisting of a Certificate and a Diploma, each comprising four subjects. Students will not be awarded the Diploma until they have passed all eight subjects.
You must be a registered student to sit for the ABE examinations.
ABE programmes are taught at institutions worldwide and such institutions are accredited to run ABE courses after they have submitted full details of their prospectus, teaching staff and site facilities, which must meet the criteria set by the ABE Education Committee.
Students wishing to register with the Association should complete the registration form and return it to the Registrar together with appropriate fees, copies of educational qualifications (in English) and details of relevant working experience where necessary.
All prospective students must enrol with ABE at the commencement of their studies in order that any exemptions may be confirmed at that time.
