BULATS for Company
AS a HR decision maker, whether you are recruiting staff or planning a language training programme for your company, you need to be able to assess language skills quickly and reliably.
Type of Test
BULATS offers four types of test: Standard, Computer, Speaking, and Writing. Each test is independent so it can be used on its own, or in combination with the other tests to suit the individual testing needs of each company or organisation.
BULATS Results

BULATS results are reported in terms of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework. This means that results can easily be compared to internationally recognised language examinations, and to national qualifications. BULATS tests are based on detailed Can-Do statements, specifying what learners can be expected to be able to do at each level.

Why Use BULATS?

BULATS offers a rapid, reliable and cost effective test that can serve a variety of purposes:

  • Evaluating the language skills of staff and job applicants within a company
    BULATS can be used to test different language skills objectively, and provide suitable solutions to the company.
  • Placing learners on suitable courses for language training
    A business college provides language training courses for its students and needs to place them in courses at the right level. BULATS can be used to place the students in suitable courses.
  • Screening learners who are unsuitable for the training courses provided
    A company wants to concentrate its language training on employees who are already close to the level of language required. BULATS can provide a test to screen out unsuitable candidates and so help make best use of the resources available.
  • Evaluating language training given and controlling training cost effectively
    The training division of a company needs to assess the quality of language training being provided by an external training organisation. BULATS can be used to test people at the beginning and end of the course to monitor progress.
  • To provide benchmarks for different job types within the company
    Setting up BULATS benchmarks can help the employer manage recruiting and language training comprehensively, and help the employees set up targets for personal and career development.
