2012 John Moores Painting Prize (China)

Registration deadline extends to 30 March 2012!

The Second John Moores Painting Prize China will take place at the Art Museum of Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute from 20th of June to 18th July 2012.

The five Chinese Prizewinners will form part of the exhibition John Moores Painting Prize at Walker Art Gallery from 15th September 2012 to 6th January, 2013, which is one of the highlights of the Liverpool Biennial.

The judging panel for the inaugural John Moores Painting Prize China 2012 are:

Lewis Biggs (Artistic Consultant)
Michael Craig-Martin (Artist , Art Educator)
Tony Bevan (Artist)
Liu Xiao Dong (artist)
Ding Yi (artist)

In order to reach a wider audience, there will be no entry fee for Chinese participants.

2012 John Moores Painting Prize China will become a regular exchange of prize-winning paintings for exhibition in Liverpool and Shanghai.
