British Council IBD Team
Experience UK Creativity in a city near you

Through its arts work British Council in China promotes a better understanding among young Chinese of the diversity of contemporary UK by showcasing the excellence in drama, dance, music, visual arts, creative industries, design, film and TV, and literature.  We promote and support a large number of tours and exhibitions from the UK in China that would not be commercially possible otherwise, and use our programmes to provide educational opportunities for artists and partners.

We aim to make the UK the first choice partner for China in collaboration in the arts, from linking promoters in China to work in the UK, providing training and development opportunities in the UK for young Chinese arts managers, to our unique partnership with Arts Council England, building long-term artist links through residencies and exchanges.
