Partnering with the Modern Media Group – Outlook Magazine, the British Council Guangzhou organized a designer gathering on 8th September last Friday at the Exception space. The event not only celebrated the winners of the International Young Design Entrepreneur of The Year 2006 Award (IYDEY), but also featured the debut of Antenna MV screening, performance by Ms Long Yunna, a famous modern dancer and UK Wok Media designer, Julie Mathias’ sharing of their creative ideas. There were about 130 people came to the event and most of them are people work in design or creative industries.
On 9th September, the 1st prize winner Xie Yong departed for the UK and started his 14-days creative journey in the UK. He will be visiting London Design Week, 100% Design and meeting a lot of well-known designers. At the same time, he will also compete with other 9 winners from other countries for the final 2006 IYDEY Award. The judge panel in the UK includes:
