Now in its fourth year, Zhangbei InMusic Festival is one of the biggest destinations for music fans in Beijing. It’s a hike out to the grasslands of Zhangbei county, but it’s worth it, and we’ve just got notice of why this year’s is going to be just as good. The festival runs from July 27 - 29 this year, with a bigger lineup than ever before.
The lineup for the fourth edition of the InMusic Festival has been officially announced, and as has been the case in recent years, it's a cracker. Disregarding the fact that it's a fair clip out to Hebei, the lineup makes this year's outing an instant must see. Headlining a pack of international acts will be English electronica titans Orbital, and shoegazing space rock legend Spiritualized. Holding up the Chinese side are Tang Dynasty, Brain Failure, Queen Sea Big Shark Miserable Faith, DJ KOMMY and The Tumbleweed amongst others. Attendances have risen in recent years with the chance to camp over on the grasslands as a draw for most Beijingers, and this year's lineup looks to be reason enough to travel.

Orbital(the headliner on Saturday 28 July 2012) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orbital_(band)
Orbital are a British electronic dance music duo from Sevenoaks, England consisting of brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll. Their career initially ran from 1989 until 2004, but in 2009 they announced that they would be reforming and headlining The Big Chill, in addition to a number of other live shows in 2009. The band's name was taken from Greater London's orbital motorway, the M25, which was central to the early rave scene and party network in the South East during the early days of acid house. One of the biggest names in British electronica during the 1990s, Orbital were both critically and commercially successful, and known particularly for their element of live improvisation during shows, a rarity among techno acts. They were initially influenced by early electro and punk rock.
Spiritualized(the headliner on Sunday 29 July 2012) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritualized
Spiritualized are an English space rock band formed in 1990 in Rugby, Warwickshire by Jason Pierce (who often goes by the alias J. Spaceman) after the demise of his previous outfit, space-rockers Spacemen 3. The membership of Spiritualized has changed from album to album, with Pierce — who writes, composes and sings all of the band's material — being the only constant member. Spiritualized have released seven studio albums. The best known and most critically acclaimed of these is perhaps 1997's Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space, which NME magazine named as their Album of the Year.
