AirplayUK Animation Music Video Screening

Programme notes

1. If you have enjoyed AntennaUK, welcome to the first AirplayUK programme, presented in association with the British Council. This is a round-up of some of the very best work in music videos produced in Britain over the past few months, including an in-depth interview with Nima Nourizadeh, one of the most exciting music video directors currently working in the UK. Please click here to read more details.

2. The second edition of AirplayUK brings you the very best music videos being produced in Britain, and also profiles directing talents making a big impact in this highly creative area of filmmaking. This time around we have videos featuring a wide range of artists, music and visual styles. We also talk to members of the London-based directors collective called Minivegas, who themselves create all types of work, from live action band performance videos to entirely CGI-created animated wonderscapes. Please click here to read more details.

3. The third edition of AirplayUK features a range of the most creative and entertaining music videos to come out of the United Kingdom over the last few months. AirplayUK also includes our regular Director Profile, where we interview top directors working in music videos in the UK. This time round we are talking to Phil Sansom and Olly Williams, a directing team who work together as Diamond Dogs – a name inspired by David Bowie’s legendary album. Please click here to read more details.

4. The 4th edition of AirplayUK features another selection of the most creative and entertaining music videos produced in Britain over the past few months. These are for a combination of new artists, up-and-coming bands, and established acts that all have new material released in the UK recently. This edition also includes a director profile, in this case a music video director who has made a significant contribution to music video creativity in the UK over a considerable period. Rupert Jones has directed both acclaimed videos, and short films for more than a decade, and he tells us about his work. Please click here to read more.
