Library of Unwritten Books

Have you ever wanted to write? The concept that everyone has a book in them led two UK artists to set up a project called the Library of Unwritten Books. They interview potential authors about what they would like to write. The interviews are recorded, transcribed, printed as mini-books – short reads of no more than 1,000 words – and then exhibited.   People of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds have contributed their stories including Colombian refugees, Chinese students, tourists, school children, young mums and senior citizens. It is a fascinating insight into the creative, interior world of ordinary people.
