Scavengers by Davey Anderson Fade in. Picture the scene. The credit bubble has burst and Michael Findlater, property developer, stands on the brink of financial ruin. Then one day he goes missing. Sometime later, a group of scavengers climb through the window of an empty property and discover a lost man squatting among the debris. Part absurd comedy, part mythical yarn, Scavengers tells the story of one man’s disappearance between the cracks of consumer society.
About the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (known as the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) until 1 September 2011) is one of Europe’s leading conservatoires and offers an unusually rich breadth of artistic disciplines. Building on 165 years of excellence, the conservatoire provides outstanding specialist learning to the highest professional level for the world’s new artists in dance, drama, music, production, screen and education. Students enjoy an extraordinary blend of intensive tuition, professional partnerships, performances and the creative space to co-create across the disciplines if they so wish. It’s thanks to this tremendous wealth of influences and opportunities that each emerging artist excels in their chosen discipline - and goes further to realise their own individual artistic voice. Evidence of the success of this approach is the number of alumni working as artists and practitioners all over the world.
