As heretofore, Get it Louder 2007 has two main characters --- for those young and distinguished artists and designers, it is an annual party to “shout their attitudes out”; as for our common audiences, here is a wonderland filling with the most avant-garde and their newest exhibits.

No wonder, Get it Louder (Shanghai) will be another exquisite show, whose venue is located in Danning Hub! Exhibits by designers will be crated all over the centre square, blocks, alfresco café. Even the whole open-aired floor of the parking zone can not escape to be our special chic grounds!

1. Topic: UK Home Design Trends
Speaker: Assa Ashuach
Time: 6-8 pm 23 July
Venue: 7F, Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Daning 1928 Gong He Xin Road

As an Israel-born artist who started his independent studio in London, Assa never stopped his mental journey to discover and quest traditions. During Get it louder this year, he tries to re-build the physical function and visual aesthetics through his well-recognized Upica sofa practice. Meanwhile, Assa will join our designers’ workshop to investigate the trend of design with growing technology development.

2. Topic: World Heros. Iconic Figures
Speaker: Tony Alston

Venue: Cultural and Education Section of the British Consulate General, 1st Floor Cross Tower, 318 Fu Zhou Lu, Shanghai

Nearly 4 decades of being at the centre of London fashion as Designer, Art Director and Fashion Educator, Tony Alston has witnessed London grow from the spontaneity of the 60’s to the growth of the sophisticated world fashion capital it now is.

During our designers ’workshop, Mr Alston will give us a lecture to declare his findings on may or may not ones’ visual identities be capable of reflecting their true personality.

3. Topic: the Spontaneity of Contemporary Art and Design

Speaker: Dr. Joshua J H Jiang
Venue: Cultural and Education Section of the British Consulate General, 1st Floor Cross Tower, 318 Fu Zhou Lu, Shanghai

On 4 August, Dr. Joshua J H Jiang, from Birmingham Institute of Art, Design and University of Central England in Birmingham, is coming to give a lecture referring to the spontaneity of contemporary art and design. He will share his observations on contemporary design and its influential effects to our future. The lecture will leave adequate time for discussion and questions
