Shezad Dawood
Shezad Dawood studied Critical Fine Art Practice at Central St Martins College of Art and Photography at the Royal College of Art. Since he received his degree in 2000 his works were shown at the Whitechapel Gallery, the Tate Modern and at the Richard Salmon Gallery. Much of his work has focused on the dialogue between his own dual identity as both British and Pakistani, in works that humorously mix-up well known symbols and figures from one background into another. His recent projects include a salon-like gallery/residency he has set up that instigates new kinds of unlikely collaborations.
