GET IT LOUDER (UK Exhibits)

With support from the British Council, 14 UK artists participated in the 2007 Get It Louder exhibition. Emily Campbell, Head of Design and Architecture at the British Council, has curated the UK content in partnership with Shumon Basar and Joshua Bolchover, co-founders of Newbetter, a UK collective with expertise in architecture, curation and  design,. Get It Louder 2007 opened on 23 June in Guangzhou and tours to Shanghai in July and Beijing in August. In addition to the exhibition, we organised a series of lectures, workshops and seminars to provide opportunities for dialogue between curators in China and the UK.

In conjunction with the works by outstanding UK artists, we also invited 18 UK education institutions to exhibit pieces produced by Chinese students of  art and design. For more information about the participating institutions, the students’ work or art and design education in the UK please visit online virtual exhibition.
