Digital Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager for China Marketing and Communications team, the post holder will be based in one of our Mainland China Offices. China marketing and communications team has the function of marketing intelligence, digital marketing, P.R. and account management.

Due to our status as a diplomatic mission we are only able to offer employment to Chinese and British nationals and spouses of other diplomats currently working in China.

The key objective of this post is to:

  • Support the Regional Digital Marketing Head to develop, execute and deliver British Council’s digital marketing strategy with the aim of increasing the Brand awareness and build the organisation's reputation as a digital leader and innovator.
  • Develop digital content and digital marketing programmes to effectively promote British Council as a whole and as well as for events/campaigns that British Council organize in China Region; work with the China Marketing and Communications team to develop a fully integrated marketing strategy.
  • By improving online user experience, continuously track and evaluate digital performance and behaviour to ensure campaigns deliver against set KPIs.
  • Act as internal marketing consultant to provide professional marketing support to British Council project teams in terms of providing advice & assistance to project teams to execute necessary digital marketing activities, leveraging British Council's corporate digital marketing efforts to maximise marketing and promotional opportunities, monitoring and analysing the digital marketing environment and provide current and accurate market intelligence.

We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our team of IELTS examiners in mainland China.

You will need:

An undergraduate degree or a qualification which can be demonstrated to be an equivalent to an undergraduate degree.

A TEFL/TESOL qualification from a recognised institution (at minimum certificate level) or EFL / ESOL related studies completed as part of an undergraduate / post graduate award course from a recognised institution (minimum certificate level equivalent) or A degree in Education (if supported by an undergraduate degree which includes studies focused on English language at point 1 above) .

A minimum of three years full-time relevant teaching experience (or equivalent part time) is required*. The British Council Shanghai Office: Arts Officer

Our Shanghai Office is looking for an Arts Officer.

We help bring the best of contemporary UK arts to Shanghai, organising events and activities that reach a wide young audience in East China. Recent highlights include Antony Gormley's Asian Field, an exhibition of almost 200,000 clay figures in a specially converted factory. We also work with artists, arts managers, festivals and the government to build meaningful links with partners in the UK, for example regularly sending young Chinese arts managers for work placements in the UK, or helping Chinese and UK promoters work together. We're an active partner, not a funding agency, and all members of the team are involved in the whole process of project planning, implementation and evaluation.
