Cherry lips – small, lip shaped sweet that tasted like cherry

Jelly teeth – false teeth made out of a gummy jelly

Sweets were sold and weighed in quarters (hence aquarterof.com) and poured into small white paper bags. A quarter is the imperial equivalent to 113 metric grams.
