Nights Out in the City
Here it is. Whether you're looking for a world-class gig at the Odyssey Arena or Waterfront Hall or just fancy a great night out, head for one of the stylish bars Belfast has become famous for. Chill out in the eastern atmosphere of Bar Bacca ('Best Bar in all-Ireland' winner 2002) or enjoy a few drinks with relaxing live music at the glamorous Grill Room and Bar, part of the cool Ten Square hotel complex near the City Hall.

Aunt Sandra's
Step into Aunt Sandra's and step back to 1950, it's an Aladdin's cave of candy and colour and perhaps the best kept secret for children and candy lovers I've come across. The Factory produces a wonderful selection of chocolates, fudge and boiled sweets, made from recipes over 100 years old, and still uses authentic 1950's equipment.

Artistic Life
There is no better way to get beneath a city's cultural skin and discover the elegant and challenging complexities of its character than to explore its artistic life. But, in a multilayered city such as Belfast you may need just a little help to enjoy it to the full. The Belfast Art Guide will assist you through a wide spectrum of visual art, from our largest public galleries to the tiniest privately run spaces and through streets where public art is transforming the Belfast landscape.

The Sporting Life
Winners of the 1999 Heineken European Cup, the talented Ulster rugby team will be taking on the best of Europe in that competition this season at Belfast;s Ravenhill Stadium, as well as the likes of Connacht, Glasgow, Borders and Llanelli in the fiercely contested Celtic League. One of the fastest field sports in the world, the spectacular GAA sport of hurling, along with the equally exciting GAA football, can be enjoyed on Sunday afternoons at Casement Park in west Belfast, home to County Antrim.
