Aunt Sandra's
Home - About the UK - Capital Cities - Belfast - Visiting Belfast - Here

Step into Aunt Sandra's and step back to 1950, it's an Aladdin's cave of candy and colour and perhaps the best kept secret for children and candy lovers I've come across. The Factory produces a wonderful selection of chocolates, fudge and boiled sweets, made from recipes over 100 years old, and still uses authentic 1950's equipment.Free from artificial colourings & flavourings Aunt Sandra's Candy is pure heaven!Aunt Sandra's Candy Factory in Belfast has been making homemade candy and chocolate since 1953.

Aunt Sandra (yes she does exist) started as a young girl in the small shop and trained to make old time favorites like: honeycomb, nutty lumps, mint humbugs, traditional fudge and much more. (Many of the recipes are over 100 years old) And all are made by hand. Aunt Sandra has now retired but the old tradition of Hand made candy lives on. Thanks to her nephew David Moore.

Step into the past with a visit to Aunt Sandra's Candy Factory and see candy making as it used to be. Our little shop and small factory at the back attract visitors from all over Ireland and beyond and all receive a warm welcome. We have taken the shop back in time to how it looked in 1953. From the gray slate floor to the wooden counter and ceiling all is as it used to be.

Add to this the Belfast brick walls reclaimed from the old houses now sadly gone from the area and you have stepped back to 1953.Tours run everyday plus evenings and weekends for individuals and groups, so weather you're feeling nostalgic or want to treat the kids to something different, or perhaps make a party memorable, then Aunt Sandra's is well worth the visit. As Aunt Sandra's is quite small Group visits should book in advance!!!
