Newtownabbey
There really is no contest. Newtownabbey can justly claim the best views in the greater Belfast area. The panoramic vistas across Belfast Lough from our green hilltops are truly spectacular. But that's not the only reason people visit here.

Carrickfergus
Few places have witnessed more history than the heritage town of Carrickfergus. Today Carrickfergus is a peaceful suburb in a beautiful seaside setting ten minutes from Belfast. But, through the middle ages, this town was the major military stronghold on this island [the only stronghold at times] and the scene of invasion, siege and surrender up until the 17th century.

The Coasts
From Holywood to Groomsport is a procession of forested slopes, beautiful beaches and picturesque towns, all with marvellous views across Belfast Lough and the Antrim hills. The genteel town of Holywood makes a great first stop; now a chic suburb with arts and crafts shops, gourmet restaurants and a seafront promenade… plus Northern Ireland's only maypole!
