Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Probably the best way to understand one location is to experience its food. Here we introduce some basic knowledge about England breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Afternoon Tea & High Tea
What is the difference between afternoon tea and high tea in England? Do you know where are they coming from? Click here and find the answer!
Fish & Chips
Fish and Chips is one of Britain's favourite traditional foods. It is almost as traditional as Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puddings to many and is a much cheaper and better value alternative to other fast foods such as pizza or kebabs.
Pudding & Pies
Yorkshire pudding is an English savory dish similar to the American popover, and made from batter. Is most often served with roast beef, or any meal in which there is gravy, or on its own. Pies are very popular in Britain. Pies are a baked dish consisting of a filling such as chopped meat or fruit enclosed in or covered with pastry.
Earl Grey Tea
Earl Grey tea is any tea blend with a distinctive flavour and aroma derived from the addition of oil extracted from the rind of the bergamot orange, a fragrant citrus fruit. Traditionally the term "earl grey" was applied only to black tea; however, today the term is also applied to both green and white teas that contain oil of bergamot.
Cocoa in England
In 1778, the English geologist Joseph Townsend used hydraulic power, or the motor power of a steam engine, to grind cocoa: a revolution in the history of chocolate.
