This month we question whether music can affect how tasty our food is. A project led by Anne-Sylvie Crisinel, at the Cross Modal Research Laboratory, and directed by Professor Charles Spence, at the University of Oxford found that certain musical tones changed how we perceive certain tastes. Low brass sounds could make your food taste more bitter, something to consider when you have your next meal.

Here at cubed we keep you up to date with the science that’s shaping our society and bringing a new dimension to everyday life. We give you the latest innovations in fashion and music, design and digital, film and life, to bring you the products and ideas that will change our world - prepare to be cubed...
