Today many people around the world celebrate the festival Halloween every year. People usually have parties, dress up, and tell spooky stories about witches, skeletons, bats and ghosts.
But where does Halloween come from? What do you know about the festival Halloween?
If you think you know these answers, take part in the quiz organised by the British Council Library and Information Centre. To join in, ask for the quiz sheet from library counter (available starting 6 October), answer the question and return the sheet by Tuesday 27 October.

The aim of British Council Reading Club is to promote the habit of reading, to help maintain reading skills and to facilitate non-competitive book discussions.

We are going to read for pleasure and discussion will often lively but never boring. The reading club will be run together by members of staff from the library and the club members so you can decide on how we conduct the future discussions.

Synopsis
Lisa is forty-two, divorced and a mum of three. For the past year, Lisa has been going out with Mark, who is five years younger than her. She thinks it's the menopause but could there be another reason for how she's feeling? Lisa's life is about to change in a big way but does she want Mark by her side? Does he even want to be there?
