The Gemmological Association & Gem Testing Laboratory (GAGTL) is a non-profit making educational and scientific organisation which over the years has established an international regulation of the highest order.

The Gemmological Association of Australia, Canadian Gemmological Association, Gem and Mineral Society of Zimbabwe, Gemmological Association of Hong Kong, Gemmological Association of South Africa and the Singapore Gemmologist Society are affiliated to GAGTL. Examinations Services conducts the Preliminary and the GAGTL Diploma in Gemmology, including the practical examinations twice a year for registered centres.

Registration can be done through the local registered centres.

When is the exam?
January and June.
Results are sent to the candidates concerned.
