International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

Candidates must show their ID document (e.g. ID card or Passport). You MUST bring the same form of ID document which you indicated on your application form. This is the only form of identity that will be accepted on the test day.

The ONLY item you can take into the examination room is your identity document. All other personal belongings (including stationery, papers, mobile phones, beepers and personal valuables) must be placed in the designated area at the front of the examination room. Please feel free to contact us should you require any assistance. The British Council is not responsible for personal property, therefore only bring with you the necessary items.

All tests are held in the Thursday or Saturday morning from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The Speaking module is held between 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on a following weekday after your written test.

Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination room during the test and no breaks will be given in between the tests.

The exact timings of the Speaking module will be provided on the day you take the first three modules - Listening, Reading and Writing.
